Two landscapes with trees

Both by English artist A. A. Clayton, dated circa. 1935. Signed and framed.

A pleasing winter scene using crayons and pastel on paper. 37 cm high by 28 cm wide. 

A. A. Clayton was a Nottinghamshire–based artist, born in the early twentieth century.  There is another picture of his of an English village street scene in the British Government Art Collection.   These came from Julie Collino (see 87.04) in March 2002.

A. A. Clayton fue un artista residente en Nottinghamshire, nacido a principios del siglo XX. Hay otra pintura suya de una escena callejera de un pueblo inglés en la Colección de Arte del Gobierno Británico. Estos provienen de de Julie Collino (ver 87.04) en marzo de 2002.
