An urban landscape in oils on canvasboard by English artist Paul Bassingthwaite (1963 -    ) painted in 2003.  Framed, and signed on the reverse. 30 cm high by 40 cm wide. 

London-born Paul Bassingthwaite studied for his Fine Arts degree (with honours) at the Chelsea School of Arts from 1982 to 1986, and then trained at the National Film and Television School. He was an art tutor at the Kensington and Chelsea College from 1990 to 1995.  His work has been exhibited widely in galleries in London and Tokyo and shown at Summer Exhibitions at the Royal Academy and the Royal Watercolour Society. We bought this picture at auction at Christies in South Kensington at a sale of British and Continental paintings (sale number 5604, lot 1147) in November 2005.
